Request:
I've just seen on X that the Powys Police HQ is flying a pride progress flag outside. As you will no doubt be aware, some flags require planning permission and some don't. The one you are currently flying, the pride progress flag requires planning permission. Can I have a copy of the planning approval you obtained prior to flying for your Pride Progress flag over a government building.
Response:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:
Dyfed Powys police does not have planning approval to fly flags at this time irrespective if they are LGTBQI+ or otherwise. The flags at the front/main road entrance flagpoles only of the HQ site have been removed.
