Request

 Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:

1. - The total number of arrests the force made each year for the possession of cannabis for the last five years.
2. - The total number of arrests the force made each year for the cultivation of cannabis for the last five years.
3. - The total number of times cannabis was seized each year for the last five years.

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below:-

Volumes below refer to volumes of `Having possession of a controlled drug – cannabis’ offences where the nominal was arrested (year is based on the offence date, rather than arrest date):

Volumes of arrests where the most serious offence was ` Produce controlled drug of Class B – cannabis’ and `Cultivate cannabis plant a class B controlled drug’ (year is based on arrest date)*:

*Different data sources have been used for this table than the other tables as we couldn’t separate the data for cultivation / production of drugs by drug type on the old system. Therefore, we have used old custody records where it is based on the most serious offence arrested for.

Volumes below refer to volumes of ` Production of a cannabis plant’ offences where the nominal was arrested (year is based on the offence date, rather than arrest date):
