Request:

We require to know how many traffic incidents have occurred on the junction and within the boundary of the Talerddig village* on the A470 and the C2018, the road to Bont Dalgadfan from January 1^st 2009 – December 31st 2010.

We also require to know

1. The nature of these incidents
2. When did they happen, date and time of day or night
3. How many vehicles were involved
4. What emergency services attended
5. How many people were injured including emotional damage
6. What damage was done to property and the cost of repairing the damage
7. Did it result in proceeding against the offender, if so give details

*For clarity – for the A470 between the signage for Talerddig

For the C2018 from the signage for Talerddig on the A470 (Caron side) to the first cattle grid past Talerddig Farm – there is no sign on the C2018)

Clarification:

Clarification was sought and the applicant confirmed that they require information relating to all road incidents. However, if this was too much information then to narrow the information to ‘Accidents’ defined as:

“Road traffic collision involving a mechanically-propelled vehicle on a road or other public area which causes:

• Injury of damage to anybody
• Damage to a vehicle
• Damage to property built on, attached to , growing in. or otherwise forming part of the land where the road is
• Injury or damage to an animal – other than one being carried in/on that vehicle”

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

*Please note the 3 RTC’s listed above relate to the unclassified Talerddig road. There were no RTC’s recorded on A470 specifically in relation to the Talerddig Junction
