This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act for information regarding your force’s use of powers under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act.
Please provide the following information about your force’s exercise of powers under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act between March 2020 and the end of June 2020; if you do not hold this information for the whole length of the period stated above, please provide it for the period starting from the date you began recording the information:
a. The number of times your force has exercised powers under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act, and which powers were used.
b. Whether or not on each occasion the use of those powers followed consultation with a public health officer.
c. The number of hours each individual has been detained under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act.
d. The following information about each person who was subject to enforcement under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act: self-defined ethnicity, officer-defined ethnicity, nationality, date of incident.
e. The number of times enforcement under Schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act has been used in conjunction with mobile biometrics fingerprint scanners and the associated app.
