FOI Reference: 425/2022
Request:
I am a third year PCDA student and am compiling a dissertation on the demands of mental health on policing. I am looking for data from pre pandemic (April 2018) to post pandemic (May 15th 2022) where Police have been called for incidents that relate to mental health in any way. I am trying to evidence if the calls for mental health to police have risen since pre pandemic and if so how much. Statistics relating to this is the information that is sought and any qualifying information such as origins or call (broadly for example, ambulance, public, third sector such as charity)
Any call where mental health is factored
Location - Force wide data in financial years please
Date period - 01/04/18 - 15/05/22
Response :
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
