Request:
Between the financial year 2010/11 and 2020/21, please share the following information regarding successful settlements. I define successful settlements as all civil lawsuits and liability claims that resulted in payments by the police force to claimants.
Clarification:
All claims are brought against the Chief Constable so ultimately that principal officer is alleged at fault and all other officers are classed as witness’s. In light of the above please can you confirm if you are happy with just the Chief Constable (who is classed the defendant) being listed as the officer involved in the claim or do you require all other officers that are classed as witnesses as well as the Chief Constable for each claim over the time period requested?
