Request:
I would like to request the following information for Dyfed-Powys Police, since 2018:
a) The number of Police Officers and Police Staff who have failed drug tests.
b) The number of Police Officers and Police Staff who have tested positive for androgenic-anabolic steroids (AAS) including designer steroids, prohormones and designer prohormones. Such as, but not limited to, the ones listed below:

- Fluoxymesterone (Halotestin)
- Mesterolone (Proviron)
- Methandienone (Dianabol)
- Methenolone enanthate (Primobolan)
- Methyltestosterone (Virilon)
- Mibolerone (Cheque)
- Nandrolone decanoate (Deca Durabolin)
- Nandrolone phenpropionate (Durabolin)
- Oxandrolone (Anavar, Oxandrin)
- Oxymetholone (Anadrol)
- Stanozolol (Winstrol)
- Testosterone cypionate (Depotest)
- Testosterone enanthate (Andro-Estro)
- Testosterone propionate (Testex)
- Trenbolone acetate (Finajet)
c) The number of Police Officers and Police Staff who have been discharged from duty due to a failed drug test.
d) The number of Police Officers and Police Staff who have been discharged from duty due to testing positive for AAS.
Response A - D:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:
- For the time frame outlined there have been a total of zero (0) police officers and staff who have failed a drugs test or who have tested positive for androgenic-anabolic steroids (AAS) including designer steroids, prohormones and designer prohormones in relation to questions a, b, c & d of your request.
It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate. It should be noted that for these reasons this Force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
