Request:
I would like to submit the following freedom of information request for your attention.
In relation to the years - April 2020-March 2021 and April 2021- March 2022. I require the following information:
- The number of fraud offences recorded by your force involving victims in age categories 65-74 and 75+
- A breakdown of the gender of the victims identified above.
- A breakdown of the relationship of victim to principal suspect for each victim identified above.
Clarification:
Clarification was sought and the applicant was requesting data for crimes only.

It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate. Police Forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recoding criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted that for these reasons this Force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
