FOI Reference: 645/2022
Request:
Since March 2021 how many police officers who have committed criminal offences have been recruited?
If it does not push my request over the cost limit, please include the type of offence.
Clarification: police officers who have been recruited since March 2021 had committed criminal offences before being recruited.
Response:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Between March 2021 and June 2022, a total of 145 police officers were recruited.
Of the 145 officers, 3 had received a reprimand for Theft-Shoplifting when they were a juvenile. None of them had further offended, after receiving the juvenile reprimand.
It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
