On Wednesday 30th September 2020, Ryan Jones appeared at Swansea Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to two charges of fraud and was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.
He pleaded not guilty to one charge of fraud and one charge of theft which will remain on file.
As a result of his conduct, Mr Jones was dismissed from the force following a misconduct hearing on the 21st January this year.
Dyfed-Powys Police expects the highest level of standards from police officers and staff in line with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Behaviour; those who fall short will be held to account.
