“Being a Special Constable is challenging and rewarding – it’s a brilliant opportunity”
– Specials Chief Inspector Chris Evans.
Our team of 86 Special Constables work alongside our regular officers across the force, dealing with incidents from collisions and assaults to searching for missing people and responding to domestic incidents.
The only difference is that they give their time as volunteers.
Some aim to make a difference to their community or as a personal challenge, and others to fulfil a lifelong ambition of joining the police. Whatever their story, each volunteer brings their own skills to Dyfed-Powys Police, strengthening the force and the service it provides.
If you’ve ever thought about joining, but wanted to know more, Citizens in Policing is hosting a national taster evening on Monday, June 14. Click here to sign up, and keep an eye out for our future recruitment opportunities here.
