Today we are celebrating the success of ICT Product and Programme Manager, Catherine Davies who won the 2020 Police Staff of the Year award.
Catherine, who is approaching 20 years of service with the Dyfed-Powys Police, has been recognised for her outstanding commitment to project-managing a number of significant technological solutions that have assisted the force’s operational performance.
Thanks to Catherine’s meticulous efforts and technological expertise, all Dyfed-Powys Police frontline officers are now equipped with mobile data terminals and body worn video cameras, and armed response and traffics fleets have newly installed in-car video.

“The technology that Catherine has delivered across the force is aiding police officers and PCSOs to be more efficient, accountable and knowledgeable in their roles of gathering intelligence and protecting the public.”
Catherine’s projects are often running simultaneously, requiring her to balance her responsibilities with absolute precision, and her work has saved significant costs for Dyfed-Powys Police.
Though her work is demanding, she has been praised for consistently delivers to a high standard and still finding the time to help others.
