Superintendent Anthony Evans: BCU Commander, Pembrokeshire
Anthony joined Dyfed Powys in 1997 and was posted to Milford Haven, where he later joined CID in 2000. He was promoted to Sergeant in Carmarthen in 2006. In 2009 he joined the newly formed Major Crime Support Team, a dedicated major incident investigation team. Whilst working with the team both as a Detective Sergeant and Detective Inspector, Anthony worked on a large number of major incidents including several murder and manslaughter investigations, serious organised crime investigations, and complex sexual offence investigations including successful cold case reviews.
Anthony has received certificates of appreciation from the Chief Constable for his work in two murder investigations. After leaving the Major Crime Team, Anthony served as Staff Officer to the Chief Constable, and as Detective Chief Inspector in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire and is recognised as an accredited Senior Investigating officer by the College of Policing.
Anthony was promoted to Superintendent for Pembrokeshire in September 2020.
Prior to joining the police Anthony obtained a BA (Hons) Business Studies at the University of Glamorgan. Anthony lives in Pembrokeshire with his wife and two children.
