Dyfed-Powys Police Superintendent Clark Jones-John

Clark is from Llanelli and joined Dyfed Powys Police in 2004 having graduated with a law degree from Swansea University.

He has worked in a variety of roles across uniform policing, CID and Public Protection, which have included Detective Sergeant and Detective Inspector positions. He has also been involved in two organisational change programmes and was the Staff Officer for three previous Chief Constables. In 2017, Clark was promoted to Chief Inspector with responsibility for response and neighbourhood policing in Carmarthenshire; he subsequently became the Head of Contact and Incident Management within the Force’s Communication Centre. During this time he qualified as a specialist Tactical Firearms Commander.

Since March 2020, Clark has been the Silver Commander for Operation Talla - leading the Force’s tactical response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He was promoted to Superintendent in May 2020 as Head of Specialist Operations.

Clark has one son and twin daughters.
