Prior to starting his full time policing career, Craig served as a Special Constable with the British Transport Police in Swansea. In 2001 he joined Dyfed Powys Police and was posted to Pembrokeshire, where he worked at various locations throughout the county before being promoted to Sergeant.
In 2006 Craig took a career break from UK policing to take up the opportunity of working as a police officer in the Cayman Islands – a UK overseas territory in the Caribbean. Upon his return he worked in Aberystwyth, Haverfordwest, Police HQ and Carmarthen, before being posted into the Ops Room as a Force Incident Manager.
Following this Craig has then taken up several Chief Inspector roles before being promoted to Superintendent in April 2018, becoming Local Policing Commander for Pembrokeshire in 2022.
He has previously been Head of Specialist Operations for the Force and BCU Commander for Carmarthenshire.
