Steve has served with Dyfed-Powys Police since joining in 1993.
The first 10 years of his service were in Powys, where he worked as a Police Constable and Sergeant in Montgomeryshire. He then transferred to Carmarthenshire as a Detective Sergeant.
Steve worked in a variety of investigative posts as a Detective Inspector, Detective Chief Inspector and Detective Superintendent including CID, Professional Standards and Public Protection.
Steve held the rank of Chief Superintendent from 2015 as Head and Governance and Change, where he led the implementation of the Force CCTV programme. He then moved to Detective Chief Superintendent, Head of CID in 2016.
From January 2021, Steve was seconded to Temporary Assistant Chief Constable, leading the Collaboration Programme within Wales. He took the role as Force Assistant Chief Constable from July 2022.
Outside of work Steve enjoys many sports including cycling and has ridden in five Police Unity tours.
