Louise joined Dyfed-Powys Police in 2001 and was posted to Llanelli, there she joined the Criminal Investigation Department and trained as an accredited specialist interviewer and interview advisor. Louise served in Carmarthenshire for 11 years as a Detective Sergeant and within Uniform Policing. Louise worked on numerous major investigations throughout the force.
Following return from her first Maternity leave in 2015 Louise was promoted to Detective Inspector working in Carmarthenshire, the force Professional Standards Department and Public Protection.
At the rank of Chief Inspector Louise returned to her home County of Pembrokeshire, with responsibility for Response and Neighbourhood policing. Here she became an experienced Tactical Firearms Commander and Post Incident Manager.
In 2022 Louise returned to work in Police Headquarters in the Central Prevention Hub and now as Temporary Superintendent of the Service Improvement Unit responsible for Performance and Analytics, Force Crime Incident Registrar, HMICFRS liaison and Governance and Change.
Louise is now an accredited Strategic Firearms Commander.
Louise is the force lead for supporting parents and sits on a national group developing guidance and best practice for forces.
Outside of work Louise is kept busy with family life with her two children aged 7 and 9 and her Masters study.
