New Pathways is the largest sexual violence support provider in Wales, with over 30 years’ experience of delivering specialist therapeutic support to adults and children affected by the trauma of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse.
They offer a full range of free specialist crisis, advocacy, wellbeing and counselling services and are widely regarded throughout the UK as a leading organisation in the field.

Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) Crisis Support
A SARC helps people who have been affected by rape or sexual assault.
A crisis worker will meet you at the SARC and discuss your options with you. If you spoke to the police first, they will call us to arrange for you to meet with a crisis worker at the SARC.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs)
ISVAs offer ongoing support. This can be different for each person, but can include:
You can access support, whether or not you choose to go to the police. ISVAs can offer advice about reporting or giving anonymous intelligence.
Wellbeing Service
Sexual violence support workers offer support for anyone affected by sexual violence. This includes:

Specialist Counselling
New Pathways offers counselling for adults and children. Counselling can be via video, telephone or face-to-face.
New Pathways counsellors are qualified and registered, have experience in working with trauma, and receive additional training on working with sexual violence.
Self-help Resources
Trauma from sexual violence can be overwhelming and New Pathways understands that you may need additional or 'top-up' support until you can attend a session. We provide a suite of self-help literature, including booklets on topics like managing flashbacks and understanding trauma, podcasts and videos, voices of lived experience and resources for professionals.
