Community concerns have been raised in relation to drug activity and associated ASB in the vicinity of the Groe.
Regular patrols will be conducted to monitor and disrupt this behaviour.
This priority will run from January-March 2026.Action taken:
Regular high visibility patrols have been conducted in these identified areas between January and March, including a ‘Meet the Street’ event in Builth Wells High Street.
We have also received reports of ASB taking place at the RWAS. This issue has successfully been tackled by the Neighbourhood team, who will continue to monitor this area. -
Priority:
Neighbourhood Policing will continue to patrol areas of the Groe, Cattle market and Royal Welsh Show Ground in Builth Wells and Llanelwedd. Regular patrols will continue to be conducted to monitor and disrupt any ASB and criminal activity.
This priority will run from April -June 2026.Action taken:
Neighbourhood officers have conducted high visibility foot patrols at these locations to prevent and monitor any antisocial behaviour.
Unfortunately, criminal damage was caused at St Mary’s Church and reports of increased dog fouling in the area.The neighbourhood team have decided that this priority will continue for the next three months.

This priority will run from April -June 2026.Action taken:
This priority has been achieved.
Officers have worked closely with Wales and West housing association to address the reported ASB issues. This partnership working led to improvements in residents quality of life. -
Priority:
Neighbourhood Policing will continue to patrol areas of the Groe, Cattle market and St Mary’s Church, Builth Wells. Regular patrols will continue to be conducted to monitor and disrupt any ASB and criminal activity.
This priority will run from July-September 2026.Action taken:
During this period, neighbourhood officers have conducted extensive foot and mobile patrols in the area.
Unfortunately, Police have received reports of criminal damage to the Electrical charging points at the Groe. During September, Oaklands Crescent park has become an area where young people have been causing criminal damage and ASB.
The neighbourhood team will continue to focus on this priority, expanding the patrolling area to Oaklands and the Castle.
