Neighbourhood policing teams are made up of police officers and PCSOs, who are the familiar faces of Dyfed-Powys Police in your community. They are dedicated specialist teams who work with our communities and partners to maintain community safety and spirit, to problem solve in order to find sustainable solutions to the issues that have the greatest impact on people’s everyday lives.
Our Neighbourhood Policing & Prevention Teams are at the heart of how we protect the public, prevent crime, and meet the challenges of policing today.
Community concerns continue to be been raised in relation to drug activity and associated ASB in the vicinity of Glan Yr Ithon and Maes Yr Ithon.
Regular patrols will be conducted to monitor and disrupt this behaviour.
This priority will run from April-June 2026.

Neighbourhood and Roads Policing officers will be addressing concerns raised by community members in relation to speeding around the Broadway, Cefnllys Lane and Spa Road East, Llandrindod Wells.

High visibility speed reduction sessions were held in January along the Broadway, Cefnllys Lane area having a positive impact on raising drivers awareness of the 20mph speed limit.

Regular high visibility patrols have been conducted from January to March at these identified estates. There still continues to be concerns around ASB and drug activity.
Meetings have been held with partner agencies to tackle these issues and agreed that this priority will continue until the end of June.

A variety of Anti-Social Behaviours are being reported in The Rock Park, Llandrindod Wells. Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Teams will be conducting high visibility patrols and joint patrols with partner agencies in the area.

Between January and March, the Neighbourhood team have been conducting regular patrols to deter ASB. Joint partnership meetings have been held with Powys County Council departments with new signage being placed in the area.
