High visibility patrols of our rural villages and farms targeting criminal activity.

Between January and March, frequent high visibility patrols were conducted in the rural villages surrounding areas of Llanyre.

Neighbourhood officers will be raising awareness around Rogue Traders and protecting yourself from becoming a victim.

Officers conducted patrols around the Presteigne, Knighton and Builth Wells area following reports of males attempting to sell items and complete gardening work.

Community concerns continue to be been raised in relation to drug activity and associated ASB in the vicinity of Glan Yr Ithon and Maes Yr Ithon.
Regular patrols will be conducted to monitor and disrupt this behaviour.

Neighbourhood officers working closely with Newydd Housing officers have jointly issued the following civil interventions: abandonment notice,
ABC contract, ASB letter of expectation and escalated this to a 1st stage ASB warning letter. Multi agency meetings continue to take place, along with meet the street engagement activities and frequent patrols.
This priority will continue to be a focused priority for October– December.

High visibility patrols of our rural villages and farms, focusing on raising awareness and offering crime prevention advice around quad bike and fuel theft.
This priority will run from July- September 2026.

Over the past three months, Radnorshire has seen a recent spike in quad and motorbike thefts. Response and specialist department colleagues have made successful arrests in some of these investigations, including recovering some of the stolen property. There has also been an increase in copper thefts from rural location.
Patrols have been conducted during this priority period. Neighbourhood officers will continue to focus on this priority for the period of October to December.
