Officers from Neighbourhood policing will carry out high visibility patrols around Lugg View, Presteigne to prevent ASB and any criminal activity.

On the 27th June, Police received a report of an ongoing assault on Presteigne High Street between two males which continued across a number of locations within the town. Police attended with one male being arrested- the investigation remains ongoing. Local officers are working closely with Powys County Council Housing Department in relation to this matter due to the apparent concerns relating to the extent of the behaviour exhibited by those concerned.
Local officers are continuing to work on a daily basis with the Roads Policing and Intelligence departments to develop information from the community on local concerns relating to driving offences, drug activity and shoplifting offences in order to plan and deliver effective and positive responses and disruption within the town.
During this period local officers have also distributed posters and provided associated information in relation to shoplifting as part of national efforts to disrupt and tackle such offending within communities.
Community concerns have been raised around ASB and drug related activity within Beddoes View, Presteigne. Neighbourhood Policing will continue to regularly patrol and monitor this situation.

Concerns have been raised in relation to alleged drug related ASB in the vicinity of Lugg View, Presteigne including frequent late night visitors, both on foot and in vehicles, use of offensive language and threatening behaviour causing fear, alarm and distress to those living in the vicinity.
