Request:
1: Can you please provide the system software name you use for recording crime?
I understand that police forces may (or may not depending on which one) use different softwares in recording and extracting crime data.
2: What programming language is your software written in?
3: In addition to this can you please provide whether you have the automated capacity (i.e in this case you would not have to manually review cases) to be able to fetch/retrieve the characteristics of
a: Ethnicity
Of suspect?
Of victim?
b: Nationality
Of suspect?
Of victim?
c: Religion
Of suspect?
Of victim?
d: Country of birth
Of suspect?
Of victim?
e: The legal residency (i.e whether the person was arrested for a crime who was then found to be illegally residing in the UK)

Response 1:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Pronto – Mobile Data Solution used to record Crime.
Niche Records Management System used to manage and report.
Response 2:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that this is known by the solution provider and not the Force.
Response 3:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
There are fields within Niche which are searchable, and a user could refine the search by searching for specific values in the below for suspect/victim which would negate looking at every record:
- Ethnicity
- Nationality
- Religion
- Country of birth
- The legal residency - illegally residing in the UK –there is an Immigration status field.
