I would like the information for the below for the year 2023 - or the most recent 12-month data available:

a) The total number of tool thefts in your area

b) The total number of tool thefts from motor vehicles in your area.

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

Data provided for 01/01/2023 – 31/12/2023.

Please note: The following volumes indicate the number of thefts involving a property item of: ‘Power tool’, ‘Tool bag’, ‘Tool box’, ‘Tools’ and/or ‘Tool’s’.

There may be additional thefts recorded mentioning tools by specific names that have been missed by this search. Unless provided with a list of specific tools, e.g. hammer, we cannot determine whether there are any additional tool thefts.
