Request 1 - 3:
- I would like to request information on the number of UFO sightings/incidents reported to the Dyfed Powys Police in the last three years (2022, 2023 and 2024).
- Specifically, I would like to request details of reports made between the 12th and 22nd of May 2024, which include the words: UFO, unexplained lights, unidentified objects, aliens, monolith, metal structure or mysterious flashing lights.
- Additionally, I would like to know what action if any was taken on each occasion and are their currently processes in place for dealing with such reports?
Clarification for Request 3.
a. I would like to know if there is a specific process in regards to units responding to an incident involving UFO activities and
b. I would also like to know the details and outcomes of the two incidents in the 3 year time frame.
Response 1:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
There have been two cases of UFO sightings/incidents reported in the timeframe specified.

There has been no results available from our search during the timeframe specified.
Response 3a:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that there are no specific processes in place in regards to units responding to an incident involving UFO activities.
Response 3b:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Incident 1:
Member of the Public located an object that looked like an old bomb, while explaining the location of the item they describe a wind turbine base that looks like an old UFO. An officer attended the location and the tide had come by then so the object could not be found,
No action taken, incident was closed.
Incident 2:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Potential hoax call. Log says : “I just seen a cloud in the sky but it was moving, it could have been a UFO. I went back to my flat a minute later it disappeared.”
No action taken, incident was closed.
It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
