Request:
I would like to request the following information regarding reports and crimes related to racism.
1a) Between the years 2018 and 2023, how many racially aggravated incidents have been reported to your police force? If possible, please categorise the nature of the incident e.g islamophobia
1b) Of those reports, how many led to charging the perpetrator? Please could you break this down by the results of the reports, e.g no further action, caution given, jail sentence, and any other relevant result.
2) Of the racially aggravated incidents, please list the details e.g islamophobia
Clarification Q:
Are you referring to incidents or crimes? Please note an incident is different from a crime. An incident is a record of contact made to a police force by an individual/member of public (usually via a 999 or 101 call) and a crime is where the threshold has been met for the police force to deem that a criminal offence has occurred as defined by law.
Clarification A:
We would like to know how many incidents/ reports have been made to the police force and then of those how many then met the threshold to be investigated further by the police force (as qu 1b states)

I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police as a further category is not recorded. All crimes and incidents listed are categorised as ‘racial’, as per the request.
It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
