Request:
How many arrests have been made in the last five years in your police force area using facial recognition technology?
Could you provide a breakdown of the type of facial recognition used: RFR, LFR or OIFR.
Could you provide a breakdown of the ethnicity and sex of the people being arrested and how many of these led to a criminal charge.
Could you also provide a breakdown of the type of crime
If you could break all of this down per year (calendar year if possible).

I can confirm that there is no information held/recorded by Dyfed-Powys Police in respect of your above request as we don’t operate a facial recognition system in force.
It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate. It should be noted that for these reasons this Force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
