Request:
All responses should make the distinction between 'sex' and 'gender'.
If not, how do you capture the fact that males are more likely to commit crime than females?
Does Dyfed Powys Police record crime data that identifies both the sex and gender identity of the perpetrator.
Clarification Q: What do you mean by panels?
Clarification A: Any panel, where an applicant for a role on the panel has to complete a Personal Information form. This could be the 'Quality Assurance Panel', independent members of 'Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Panel' and so on.
Clarification Q: Where you refer to members of staff, do you just want data relating to Staff or Officers as well?
Clarification A: Both.
a) Is the form completed by job applicants different to this and if so, why are the two forms different in their information gathering?
b) Can I please be sent a copy of the Job Application Form?
c) Does that form ask for 'sex'?
Clarification Q: Where you refer to employee, is this Police Staff and/or Police Officers?
Clarification A: Any Police Officer or member of staff that the Deploying Officer instructs to deal with a particular situation, involving contact with the public.
Clarification Q: What ‘employee’ are your referring to?
Clarification A: The answer again, is those officers or other members of staff that the deploying officer is ordering to deal with the public. There are obviously many situations where sex is immaterial but, there are some sensitive circumstances in which it is important to women that they should be dealt with by another woman.
