We spend around £18m per year on goods and services, providing companies of all sizes with a range of opportunities. Financial responsibility for procuring goods and services has been devolved to appropriate stakeholders within the Force, with the procurement department taking responsibility for Strategic Procurement.
Our vision is to obtain value for money by procuring goods, services and works that will help to achieve our priorities and meet the needs of officers and staff.
Value of purchase | Action required |
Below £5,000 | Minimum of one quote |
£5,000 to £25,000 | Minimum of three quotes |
£25,000 and above | Formal tender process |
A tender process will start if there are no suitable existing contracts or framework agreements that are deemed to offer value for money. This will be carried out in line with Corporate Governance Framework. Published tenders for goods and services are advertised via sell2wales and Contracts Finder. Contracts issued by Dyfed-Powys Police can be found on the Bluelight Procurement Database.
