The area served by Dyfed-Powys Police includes Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
We serve more than 515,000 people, which rises significantly with tourists each year. Almost half of the total resident population is aged 45 and over, and 22% are aged over 65.
32% of our communities can speak Welsh: 18.6% in Powys, 47.4% in Ceredigion, 43.9% in Carmarthenshire and 19.3% in Pembrokeshire.
The area has over one million hectares of agricultural land, more than 350 miles of coastline, and stretches from St David’s in the west to Crickhowell in the east, and up to Welshpool and Machynlleth in the north.
