Your Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team
Neighbourhood policing teams are made up of police officers and PCSOs, who are the familiar faces of Dyfed-Powys Police in your community. They are dedicated specialist teams who work with our communities and partners to maintain community safety and spirit, to problem solve in order to find sustainable solutions to the issues that have the greatest impact on people’s everyday lives.
Our Neighbourhood Policing & Prevention Teams are at the heart of how we protect the public, prevent crime, and meet the challenges of policing today.

Due to the time of year and current weather conditions, there have been minimal parking issues around the waterfalls.

Anti-social behaviour in Ystradgynlais Town Centre.
Action taken:
Patrols are being conducted in the area and work with the town council is in progress.

Joint Partner agency work with fire and the council currently ongoing. Patrols being conducted at the location.

Tesco/Home Bargains shoplifting patrols due to recent thefts at both locations
Action taken:
Patrols around Tesco and Home Bargains continue. Problem Orientated Policing plan in place.

Speed checks continue in the area.

Increased use of off road bikes and E Scooters in Ystradgynlais

We continue to have issues with off road bikes in Ystradgynlais. However, we are unable to identify riders.
