Introduced by the UK Government, the Elizabeth Emblem is the civilian equivalent of the Elizabeth Cross (issued for members of the Armed Forces who died in action) and commemorates public service workers who tragically lost their lives while on duty.
The Elizabeth Emblem is designed as a pin that can be worn by the next of kin and is inscribed with the words ‘For A Life Given In Service’ on one side, and the name of the person being remembered on the reverse.
