Request:

Please could you provide the following information. Please note there are three parts to my request.

1. Since 1 January 2018 and 20 March 2023, how many members of staff in your force have made a sexual harassment complaint against a fellow member of staff?

2. How many of the complaints made in the timeframe were upheld?

3. What was the outcome of the upheld complaints? Outcomes can include but are not limited to verbal warning, written warning, suspension, or dismissal, or referral to criminal proceedings

If it does not push the request over the cost limit, please can you also include:

(i) The nature of the allegation

(ii) The gender and rank of the complainant

(iii) The gender and rank of the alleged perpetrator

Response 1 – 3:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

Please note:  The information provided below relates only to PSD conduct cases that have arisen as a result of a report of sexual harassment

1. Two (2) cases reported

2. Two (2) cases were upheld

3. One (1) case to answer (individual resigned) and one (1) no case to answer

i. Nature of the allegation:

• subjected staff to harassment and inappropriate behaviour, including sending unwanted and inappropriate messages
• behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner towards a member of staff

ii. Gender and rank of the complainant:

• All female staff members

iii. The Gender and rank of the alleged perpetrator

• 1 male staff member
• 1 male sergeant
