1. Please provide the total number of applications forwarded to you by the College of Policing. Specify the number of applications relating to

(i) officers,

(ii) staff and

(iii) volunteers.

2. Specify the number of these applications received in each calendar year.

3. Please provide anonymised information to show the number of recommendations for i. and ii above relating to

(i) officers,

(ii) staff and

(iii) volunteers.

Clarification:

For what time period are you requesting this information?

From the date you received your first application. Individuals could apply to have their name removed from the Barred List since 2021, so the calendar years you received applications could include 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

Q1: Zero (0).

Q2: Zero (0).

Q3: A response to Q3 is not required based on the answers provided to Q’s 1 & 2.

It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate.       

Police Forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recoding criteria is set nationally.  However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted that for these reasons this Force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
