Request:

1. How many individual speeding fines were issued in 20mph limits between 17th September and 17th October this year?
2. For Question 1, what is the total value in £ of the fines issued?
3. For Question 1, How many of those speeding fines were issued to motorists driving above 30mph?
4. For Question 1, how many of those speeding fines were successfully appealed?
5. How many speeding fines were issued for exceeding 30mph from 1st January 2023 to 16th September 2023 (if this is too specific, figures from 1st Jan to 1st September will suffice)
6. How many speeding fines were issued for exceeding 30mph between 17th September - 17th October last year?
7. For Question 6, what was the total value in £ of the fines issued?

Clarification:

Clarification was sought from the applicant and they confirmed that their request related to the number of individuals stopped by an officer and then subsequently issued with a conditional offer of £100 and 3 points.

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

1. Zero (0) individuals were stopped by an officer and a conditional offer issued for speeding in 20mph limits between 17th September and 17th October
   
   
2. No information held/recorded by Dyfed Powys police. A conditional offer for speeding has a £100 fine and 3 points. In addition, information relating to the payment of fines would be held by HMCTS (HM Courts & Tribunals Service).
   
   
3. Of question 1, zero (0) speeding fines were issued to motorists driving above 30mph

5. 200 individuals were stopped by an officer and a conditional offer issued for exceeding 30mph from 1st January 2023 to 16th September 2023
   
   
6. 15 individuals were stopped by an officer and a conditional offer issued for exceeding 30mph between 17th September - 17th October last year.
