Dear Sir or Madam, We formally submit a request, under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, for the information detailed below. At page 2, paragraph 4 of the attached letter to us, from the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Chief Constable of Dyfed Powys Police is quoted as stating that “independent legal advice” had been sought by Mr Callard of Dyfed Powys Police regarding Dyfed Powys Police’s investigation into matters relating to, and associated with “Illegally tipped waste” (NRW Quote) which had been deposited at Round Hill, Stonehouse Farm, Maesmawr, Welshpool, Powys, sometime between ~2008 and ~2012. Note: Dyfed Powys Police referred to this investigation as ‘Operation Kinsale’. Our FOI request is that we are provided with the following: 1. The document or documents constituting the request which was made, by Dyfed Powys Police, for the “independent legal advice” referred to by the Chief Constable. 2. The document or documents detailing the “independent legal advice” which was received by Dyfed Powys Police from the independent legal advisor, in response to the request above. 3. Details of the company, organisation or legal entity and, or individual(s) who provided the “independent legal advice” referred to above, to Dyfed Powys Police. Please acknowledge receipt of this FOI request and advise when we can expect to receive your response. Thank you. |

Dear Freedom of Information Unit, A Freedom of Information Request is made for copies of all policies created and used by Dyfed-Powys Police that are available to the public. The request is for finalised and published policies from 01 Jan 2000 to 01 Jan 2021. You do not need to include elements of policies pertaining matters which are yet to be published. Wherein an existing policy is under review, the standing and previous versions should be released, unpublished material is not requested. The request is to facilitate independent public scrutiny of Dyfed-Powys Policies, and accessed under the principle of fair use.
