Between August 7, 2013 and August 7, 2023, in your jurisdiction:

1. The number of arrests of anyone over the age of 85 years old
2. Reason for these arrests
3. What those arrested were charged with or were they freed without charge
4. Did those arrests result in a conviction

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.

There were a total of 39 arrests of people aged over 85 years of age.

Drink drive

Drive a motor vehicle whilst unfit

Drug possession

GBH

Indecent exposure

Sexual assault

Two people over the age of 85 were charged with the following:

Assault

Drunk Driving

The outcomes of the other people were as follows:

Charged and Bailed

Detention not authorised

Out of Court Disposal

Placed on PNC as Wanted

Transferred to Another Force/Organisation

In Both cases the individuals were charged and bailed.                                          

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.

Furthermore, it should also be noted that Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
