Request:

For each calendar year (1st Jan - 31st March) between 2020 and 2025:

Q1) Please advise the number of reports your force has received that have any of the following terms in their description or classification. Please give the individual number for each term rather than grouping them together:

Ghosts
Demons
Monsters
Paranormal phenomena
Supernatural entities
Poltergeists
Apparitions
UFO's
Aliens
Other similar terms associated with paranormal or supernatural activity.

2) For the above data, please advise which post code areas the most reports came from. Break this down by month/year, too.

3) How many reports did you receive from Police Officers for each of the terms in Q1.

Response:

I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that there were zero (0) reports received by Dyfed-Powys Police for any of the categories requested in the timeframe specified.                                             

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.

Furthermore, it should also be noted that Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
