Request

1. Please provide an indication of how many sex offenders who went missing or were wanted for arrest between 2021 and 2025
2. had changed their name/ had an alias.

Please provide figures for how many sex offenders notified police forces of lawful name changes between 2021 and 2025?

Please also provide a note of how many sex offenders were found to have changed their name and failed to notify police in the same period.

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below:-

Between 1st January 2021 and 1st January 2025 there have been 3 Registered Sex Offenders who have been wanted for arrest, there are 2 Registered Sex Offenders wanted for arrest and missing.

Of these, one person has an alias.

Please note:

If a Registered Sex Offender has transferred to another Force area, then their ‘Wanted/Missing’ markers will not show up in our Force search results.  These results are taken from the VISOR (Violent and Sex Offender Register).

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
