Request:

The Police Officer recently sacked for Indecent Assault.. Det Supt Davies.. Which Department was this officer in charge of at the time...all the reports do not identify this.

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.

The department was Governance and Change.

Please note that the officer’s rank at the time was Superintendent, NOT Detective Superintendent.

Former Supt Davies was dismissed as he was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour amounting to gross misconduct. Whilst Former Supt Davies was found to have mistreated females, including the unwanted touching of female staff members, there was no specific finding of ‘indecent assault’ as suggested by the applicant.
