Misconduct appeals 979/2025

Request:

Please could you provide the number of successful appeals against misconduct findings for each of the following reporting periods:

•     2020–2021
•     2021–2022
•     2022–2023
•     2023–2024
•     2024–October 2025

For the purposes of this request, I define a “successful appeal” as one in which the original misconduct finding was overturned, rescinded, or materially altered in favour of the appellant following a formal appeal process.

If possible, I would appreciate a breakdown by rank and/or role of the individuals involved, and any indication of the grounds on which appeals were upheld (e.g. procedural error, evidential reconsideration, etc.).

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.

2020-2021 - Number of successful appeals: 0

2021-2022 - Number of successful appeals: 0

2022-2023 - Number of successful appeals: 0

2023-2024 - Number of successful appeals: 0

2024-October 25 - Number of successful appeals: 0
