Request:

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the Forensic Analytical Services contract. Specifically, I would like details on:

1. The start and end dates of the current contract(s)
2. The list of awarded suppliers
3. The total awarded value per supplier, if available

Response 1:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.

1st July 2022 – 30 June 2025, which has been extended to 31 March 2026 (in line with available extension period).

Based on the total contract period advertised (3 years initial period plus 2 years extension) the published amount at time of contract award was as follows:

Orchid Cellmark Ltd: £38,383,525

Key Forensic Services Ltd: £37,383,885

Eurofins Forensic Services Ltd: £25,963,625

Socotec UK Ltd: £4,445,555

Please note: this will not reflect actuals as the award was based on historical data and actual requirements will fluctuate through the contract period; and the contract was only extended for a 9 month period rather than 2 years.

Please note: in line with the Contract Award the information provided is on the basis of the West and South Coast Consortium which consists of 15 Forces.
