Request:

For the period 1st January 2025 to 1st January 2026, I would like to request the following information:

Please state whether this police force used AI to transcribe witness statements, and if so, please state which tool/s did it use.

Please state the number of times where external parties complained that those AI-generated witness statements contained mistakes.

For each complaint, and without identifying individuals, please provide a brief description as to what their complaint was about.

Response 1:

I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that Dyfed-Powys Police has not used AI to transcribe witness statements.

Response 2 & 3:

A response to question 2 & 3 is not applicable, based on the response provided for question 1.                                               

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
