Request

I would like to file an FOI request for the following data, pertaining to the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (Clare's Law), for 2025

How many DVDS requests were received within each period?

How many of those requests within each period were fulfilled?

How many of those requests within each period were rejected?

And, if retrievable, reason(s) for rejection?

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below:-

Response

Total of 1200 applications in 2025.

• Right to Ask – 652
• Right to Know – 548

Disclosure provided to 448 applications.

At the time of writing (23/01/2026), 27 applications are still in progress.

650 applications did not receive disclosure -

• 146 applications did not meet DVDS criteria
• 1 application had insufficient information
• 503 applications were non-disclosure (no information to disclose, person at risk refused to receive disclosure, person at risk uncountable, or relationship status had changed).

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
