Request:

To ensure this request falls within the 18-hour (Section 12) limit, I propose the following:

1. Scope Reduction: I am only requesting information for Question 1 and 1a (Number of offences and offence types where the offender was a licensed driver).
2. Volume Cap: If the Force maintains that a manual trawl takes 7 minutes per record, I request that you process the first 154 records of the 191 identified (which equals 17.9 hours). This provides a statistically significant sample of the data requested while strictly adhering to the cost limit.
3. Refined Methodology: I ask that the search be conducted chronologically (starting from 2025 downwards) until the 18-hour limit is reached.

Revised Request: For the 191 charged sexual offences identified in the previous search (Ref 291/2026), please provide the following broken down by calendar year (2023/2024/2025)

1. The number of recorded sexual offences in which the offender was identified as a licensed taxi driver or private hire driver. 1a) A breakdown of these by offence type (e.g., rape, sexual assault).

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

• Of the first 154 charged records, there was a total of 1 sexual offence crime recorded where the offender was identified as a licenced taxi driver or private hire driver. The offence related to a sexual assault.
