Request:

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I request the following recorded information for the most recent three complete calendar years available (or financial years if that is how the data is held), together with year-to-date figures where available:

For the following specific sexual offences only:

• Rape (all Home Office offence codes relating to rape, including rape of a female aged 16 or over, rape of a male aged 16 or over, rape of a female child under 16, rape of a male child under 16, and rape of a female child under 13 / male child under 13 where recorded separately)
• Assault by penetration
• Sexual assault (where recorded as a distinct category from the above)

Please provide, for each of the above offence groups:

• Number of recorded crimes
• Number of arrests
• Number of charges, summonses, or equivalent positive outcomes resulting in court proceedings

broken down by the nationality of the suspect/offender. Where a full nationality breakdown is not held or would exceed the cost limit, a binary split between “UK national” and “foreign national / non-UK national” will suffice.
