Watches stolen in robberies 817/2026

FOI Reference: 817/2026

Request:

1. For each calendar year 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 to date, please provide the number of recorded robbery offences in which property recorded as stolen included a wristwatch/watch with a recorded value of:

a) £5,000–£9,999

b) £10,000–£24,999

c) £25,000–£49,999

d) £50,000 or more.

2. For each of the above years, please also provide the combined recorded value of the watches stolen in these robbery offences

3. For the 10 most recent robbery offences during this period in which a watch valued at £50,000 or more was recorded as stolen, please provide, where recorded:

1. The make and model of the watch.
2. The recorded value of the watch.
3. The colour of the watch.

Response:

I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that zero robbery offences for the period requested had property record as stolen which included a wristwatch/watch with the recorded values stated.                  

It should also be noted that Police Services in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
