Request:

• In each year since 2018 (inclusive), the number of low-risk, medium-risk and high-risk “declarable associations” (or equivalent notifications made regarding a staff member’s association) regarding officers and other staff that have been referred to professional standards units.

Clarification sought:

Is it data relating to notifiable associations that are reported to us first hand e.g. “I am Officer X and I have an association with Person Y”, or is it data relating to inappropriate associations that are reported third hand e.g. I am “Person A, and I am reporting that Officer X has an association with Person Y”

Clarification received:

I was referring to declarable associations made first hand.

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

Please note: Dyfed Powys police does not record if a declarable association is low, medium or high risk.

It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate.
