Recording of 101 calls 159/2022

Request:

I would like to know if 101 call are continued to be recorded once they are passed to a police officer at a police station?

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

• Call recording ceases when the transfer to an extension outside of the Force Communications Centre (FCC) is completed.  Only FCC calls are recorded.

It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate.
