Response 1 & 1a:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Dyfed-Powys Police uses SopraSteria STORM Map Viewer for Incident Mapping: QGIS Open Source Mapping for Geographic Crime Mapping.
Response i:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
The Department responsible for providing the information have stated that SopraSteria STORM Map Viewer for Incident Mapping was introduced in 2018 and QGIS Open Source Mapping for Geographic Crime Mapping was introduced in 2017.
Response ii:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Map Viewer is linked to STORM C&C – displays incidents, resources, resource recommendations for dispatch and allows dispatchers to understand geography. QGIS is used for mapping crime and looks for patterns/hot spots. It is also used to produce evidential maps.
Response iii:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Data is from internal force systems such as Command and Control, Crime, Intelligence and Custody.
Response iv:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
Map Viewer output is used to inform operational response to incidents. Regarding QGIS, I can confirm there is no information held. It’s a negative return for individual risk assessments or predictive profiling / individual risk assessments.
Response v:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that zero (0) Data Protection Impact Assessment and Equality Impact Assessments have been conducted.
Response vi:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that zero (0) internal reviews, reports or assessments of the operation of the systems has taken place.
Response 2:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that we are not using individual risk assessment systems which involve data analysis, automated decision making, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence.
Response 3:
I can confirm that there is no information held by Dyfed-Powys Police due to the fact that we are not using any other predictive, profiling or risk assessment systems, which involve data analysis, automated decision making, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence.
It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
